Troubleshooting Life 292, October 18 - Exercise routines, work routines, then find your legs.

Up In The Air (2009), directed by Jason Reitman

I first blogged about this movie in 2019 here.

Ryan Bingham, played by George Clooney, to Steve, played by Zach Galifinakis, after he gets laid off.

RYAN BINGHAM:

“Take the day. Put together your personal things. Talk to your co-workers. Tomorrow, go out and get some exercise. Go for a jog. Give yourself routines and pretty soon you’ll find your legs.”

Reader, each day that goes by is dead, never to return.

And those days feel especially long when job hunting.

The waking hours of today you are able to move, and live, and sleep.

You can adopt the role of a man, woman, or child in 2023, “figuring it out” as you go.

You wake up again. You get more hours.

You need routines.

As James Clear writes, you need better “atomic habits” that get you towards your goals.

ACTION POINT: Exercise routines, work routines, then find your legs.
